Introduction for Arable Farmers

UPTAKE offers a solution that restores soil nutrient transfer that can increase your profits. Rather than reinvent research Uptake has chosen to research the research undertaken over long periods of time both here and overseas. As a result we have practically applied the basis of this research into a rotation of fertiliser products designed to restore and sustain the nutrient transfer in the soil to create a working soil. Your soil working for you.

It is becoming increasingly obvious throughout the world and more recently in New Zealand that the continual push for more production has created difficulties in maintaining soil quality and soil capability. If care is not taken the cost of production will erode our ability to compete internationally. If we continue to fertilise at the expense of biological quality the sustainable functions of the soil will disappear.

Use this section to find out how UPTAKE can assist growers with managing their soil. If you have any questions, please email or phone us. We will be happy to answer your questions, or visit you in person to explain more about the UPTAKE solutions.

Is the sustainability of your soil a concern.

Issues to consider, yield ,quality of produce, early maturity, plant available calcium, ponding, ploughpans, compaction, capping to name a few.

What about lease blocks, are you getting value for money with your fertilizer or are you restoring fertility for the next lease holder or owner.

Biological Suspensions combined with mycorrcin and / or digester will improve these issues.
Look closer at your soil,do it early and look at it in more detail. Talk to Fruit Fed Supplies about interpretations and recommendations, they have access to a independent soil scientist who is experienced in cropping and suspension fert. Fertiliser recommendations can be made with considerations to yield ,sub soil tests, E.M surveys and any relevant tissue analysis.
While most process crops will still require side dressings of nitrogen and perhaps potassium, this system will make most other elements a lot more plant available and very evenly spread across the ground with no dust.

These more plant available nutrients are also less antagonised by the high levels of potassium present in most east coast soils , this allows for better uptake of both calcium and magnesium .

Soils testing ,compaction testing and a meeting to discuss how you would manage suspension fertiliser on your property can be discussed through Fruit Fed Supplies, Hastings.
